Bessaha is the Arabic word for ‘be good to yourself’, which sums up the experience we wish to provide for all of our guests. If your looking for a little slice of paradise, that’s what we believe we can offer you.

Throughout the course of the year, we have a number of retreat options, for those of you wishing to nourish your body, mind and soul. All of our retreats are inclusive of airport transfers (from Agadir) and are on a full-board basis. Come stay with us, relax and unwind on one of our 5 or 7-night yoga retreats, where our qualified yoga instructor will gently put you through your paces. Complement your healing yoga practice with a specially designed, cleansing menu of traditional, vegetarian Moroccan dishes.

IMG_4028We take a mindful approach to daily yoga practice, allowing  you to seize the day stress-free, taking on challenges that life brings with, strength, and bravery, fully experiencing each moment.

Through our Ashtanga yoga programme, you will gain a better sense of ones own body, in new and subtle ways. We will guide you through breathing, allowing better focus, and body alignment. Building on your current yoga experience, to ensure a progressive programme for each individual.

Our intensive 5 night retreat incorporates up to three yoga sessions a day, making use of our roof terrace with panoramic mountain views, as well as our all-weather practice area, nestled in our walled garden.

Our 7 night option, incorporates a 2 hour morning session, and 1.5 hour evening session, but takes a more relaxed approach to your practice, and can incorporate additional bolt-on elements to your stay, such as numerous excursions, and surf lessons with a qualified local instructor.

What’s included

  • Accommodation in our restful Moroccan Riad.
  • Breakfast, Lunch, afternoon refreshments, evening Moroccan feast. Fresh juices, fruit, hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day at the Riad.
  • 2 hour sunrise Ashtanga yoga
  • 1.5 hour afternoon yoga and meditation (5 day retreat only)
  • 1.5 hour restorative sunset yoga
  • Excursions: Paradise valley, local souk & beach, historical city of Taroudant, Agadir market & beaches.
  • Knowledgeable guide to help you out during the days adventures
  • Airport transfers to and from Agadir

A typical day- 7 night retreat

  • 7am sunrise yoga
  • 9am morning banquet of seasonally inspired breakfast dishes
  • 10am head out for the days adventure
  • 1pm either a picnic lunch if your out for the day, or freshly prepared meal at the Riad
  • 2pm continue your adventure
  • 6pm sunset yoga
  • 8pm indulge in a healthy but delicious Moroccan feast, nibbles are served from 7.30pm

With demands on everyday life at an all time high, mindfulness is a recognised method to managing your stress responses and improve your overall wellbeing.  Our mindfulness courses provide practical tools that can be incorporated into everyday life, to help you to remain centred and focused. The setting of Riad Zanbaq, creates an atmosphere of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation; allowing you to once again find your center.
